Paper Kites Studio is an award winning landscape architecture firm in Dallas, Texas. It was founded by landscape architect Christa McCall in 2012 with the intent of creating simple, understated, elegant landscapes. Our aesthetic is fundamentally shaped by the study of physical space and its connection to architecture and human experience. We seek to transform structures by merging them with elements of nature with a particular focus on the composition and texture of native materials. Feeling that sense of place and connectivity to nature, gives our garden spaces life.

We are intentionally a small studio and we value close, collaborative relationships with architects, designers, makers, and a wide range of specialists. This responsive and creative dialogue is at the heart of everything we do. We believe the most meaningful learning happens in the field—on job sites, at nurseries, and in our gardens. Within our studio, we embrace the dual role of teacher and student, cultivating a culture of continuous, hands-on learning. Getting our hands dirty isn’t just part of the job—it’s central to our practice.
